Nonetheless, the majority of people appear to share Melvin’s viewpoint: according to a USA Today Network survey, most individuals would rather keep their air conditioner at 72 degrees.
Other cost-effective, energy-efficient cooling strategies recommended by the EPA include using fans to circulate cool air, checking for air leaks, and using drapes to block heat.
