According to Chowhound,After filing for bankruptcy in 2021 due to the pandemic, Cicis Pizza, which has been in the dough-slinging business since 1985, is adamantly trying to make a comeback.
TastingTable claims that this makeover entails bringing in more effective technologies to improve the whole Cicis experience for patrons, improving the food’s quality without sacrificing its price, and returning to the brand’s gaming roots.
Regarding the latter, Chowhound clarifies that in order to attract more families, Cicis will include bigger game and arcade areas. Additionally, in an effort to appeal to a wider audience, the buffet-style chain is reintroducing several beloved favorites:In celebration of Cicis’ 40th anniversary, a recent press release announced the reintroduction of its Original Chocolate Dessert.
Jeff Hetsel, President of Cicis Pizza, stated in the announcement that “there’s something magical about flavors that instantly take you back to childhood and for so many of our guests, The Original Chocolate Dessert is exactly that.” For years, this dessert has endured thanks to social media buzz, home-made recreations, and online forums.
As a thank you to the fans who have long yearned for its return, we are overjoyed to finally bring it back to the buffet where it belongs.
According to Chowhound, Cicis intends to strengthen operations at the 273 sites it left out of the original 600. It remains to be seen if its resurgence materializes.
