Woman broke into 87-year-old’s Dauphin County home, attacked her with golf club: Police
A Harrisburg woman was charged after she broke into a Lower Paxton Township home and assaulted an elderly woman with a golf club last weekend, police said.
Jeniah Procise, 20, of Harrisburg, is facing felony charges of burglary and aggravated assault, according to court documents filed by Lower Paxton Township police.
Police were called at 11:45 p.m. Saturday to the 2300 block of Caroline Lane, a townhome community, for a reported burglary in progress.
Investigators said Procise broke into the back of the townhome and assaulted an elderly woman with a golf club. Police said another resident inside the home interrupted the attack and used Mace to spray Procise, prompting her to flee the scene.
Officers found Procise near the home after they arrived. She was arrested and transported to Dauphin County Prison, where she remains in custody after failing to post $10,000 bail, according to online court records.
Police did not release additional information including a possible motive or whether Procise knew or was related to the victim.
