Ex-Eagles QB, Super Bowl champ shares what’s next after being cut by Fox Sports

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, was a part of the

cuts made at Fox Sports

earlier this week.

Daniel’s show — “The Facility” — was canceled by Fox Sports, along with “Speak” and “Breakfast Ball.”

After being cut by the network,

Chase Daniel took to Twitter

to share what is next for him.

“We have some stuff down the pipeline. I was telling my wife this morning when I woke up and was able to spend time with my kid, spend time in the Word, I said, ‘Hey, it’s the FHC.’ She’s like, ‘What’s that?’ I’m like, ‘Fired Husbands Club,’” Daniel joked. “So I get to be a husband again. I’ve been getting up every morning at 3:15, having to go to bed really early, missing out on time with my family. And that’s been difficult.

“I think moving forward, like, obviously the NFL is where I fit in and spent 14 years and was able to really gather a lot of information, a lot of stories. I think for me it’s just getting back to being more analytical, teaching the game, breaking down quarterbacks, understanding what teams have to do to win, having more conversations with coaches and players and have made so many great relationships through the years.”

Daniel spent 14 seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl as a backup during his time with the Saints.

In addition to the Eagles and Saints, he also spent time with the Redskins, Chiefs, Bears, Lions and Chargers.

Prior to playing in the NFL, Daniel was a Heisman finalist while starring for Missouri. He was also an All-American during his time with the Tigers.

In addition to breaking down NFL games, Daniel also wants to cover more college football moving forward.

“I also want to focus a little bit more on college,” he said. “I think college is blowing up right now. The SEC, the Big Ten, the Big 12 – all these conferences, I just find it really fascinating. Maybe you get into college breakdowns of quarterbacks. Continue podcasting. Would love to call games. I think that may be in the pipeline. We’ll see what happens. I’ve called two UFL games.”

It’s clear that Daniel still intends to be around the game of football in some capacity after being let go by Fox Sports.

However, how exactly that looks is yet to be determined.

“The YouTube channel that I started like 18 months ago, I mean, it has almost 83,000 subscribers. Thank you guys so much,” Daniel said. “I’ve posted most of my quarterback breakdown videos there. I mean there are so many things that we’re going to do this year. And we’re going to attack it, man.

“We’re going to attack every single day. But really just get back to teaching, to quarterback breakdowns. I have this nice setup in my office that I’m able to breakdown film. Maybe more YouTube lives. I think you’re going to see me maybe a little bit of everywhere. And I have appreciated every single one of you, the following. It goes without saying, but yeah, we’ll have some more announcements maybe in the next month or so. But this is a super exciting time. I’m trusting in the Lord to lead me and my family in the right direction. So excited to get going.”
