When it comes to
Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce
, there’s one thing the former NFL star could never say to his other half.
“I have never ever, and I will never ever, tell Kylie to do something around the house, because, I don’t know, she does enough,” Kelce revealed on Wednesday’s episode of the ”
New Heights
” podcast, which he cohosts with his brother,
Travis Kelc
e.
“If something doesn’t get done, it’s like, yeah, well, I should be helping out on this. Tell me what I can do because I am worthless unless you tell me that,” Kelce added.
The two have been married since 2018 and share four daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennette and Finley, a newborn whom they welcomed back in March.
While Jason Kelce can’t stomach telling his wife what to do, the retired NFL player isn’t too opposed to reversed gender roles and does “really well” when it comes to nagging.
“Tell me to get my lazy ass up, and take the goddamn trash out. If you tell me to take the trash out, I’m not going to be like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe she’s telling me to take the trash out.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, you’re right. I should be doing that. OK, I’m sorry,’” he shared.
In fact, the doting father of four rather enjoys the nagging, as he considers himself forgetful at times.
“She’s like, ‘Jason, I don’t want to tell you to do these things.’ And I’m like, ‘I get that. I’m just like, you know, it’s not going to get done unless you tell me to do it,’” Kelce said.
“I am pro-nagging. I think nagging is a great thing to do,” he noted.
It turns out that his wife’s nagging reminds him of years of being told what to do on the football field.
“I like coaching. I’ve been coached my whole life. I want people to tell me. I need that,” Kelce shared.
