Legendary wrestler Ric Flair shared some exciting news on social media earlier this week, revealing that he is “now cancer free.”
The announcement came a month after Flair said that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. It is unclear if skin cancer is the only health issue Flair has been dealing with.
“Thank You Academic Alliance In Dermatology! I’m Now Cancer Free! WOOOOO!” Ric Flair
posted on Tuesday
.
In May, the 76-year-old
denied rumors that he had cancer
, taking to Twitter to proclaim that, “I’m sorry people have been misled by social media, but I don’t have cancer of any kind. Thank you for your concerns and for everyone reaching out. I am absolutely fine, and unfortunately, you’ll have to live and put up with me for another 25 years!”
However, he had in fact been dealing with skin cancer and was
“grappling with denial,”
according to his close friend Anthony Maurizio.
Flair has addressed his health issues on Twitter recently, including in late June when he said, “Surgery Coming Up. Keep Me In Your Prayers. It’s All Fragile.”

A few days later, he added, “Thank You To Everyone Who Has Reached Out & For All The Thoughts And Prayers! It Means A Lot To Me. I Will Get Through My Health Issues And Be Stronger Than Ever!”
Ric Flair, who is also known as the “Nature Boy,” became the first two-time inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, going in as a solo wrestler in 2008 and as a part of The Four Horsemen in 2012.
He is recognized as a 16-time World Champion.
