Since telling his supporters that he is fighting an aggressive form of cancer, David Roach has been rather silent. However, on Sunday, he posted a unique picture that embodies the adage that a picture is worth a thousand words.
According to reports, the rock singer from the 1980s married his fiancée, Jennifer. Junkyard, his band, posted a picture of Roach putting a ring on her finger to its Instagram account, writing, “Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Roach.” Band members were seated alongside Roach, who was in a wheelchair, in a second picture.
The touching moment occurred less than a month after David and Jennifer thanked everyone on the band’s Instagram page for their love and support throughout his battle with cancer.
The tweet, which included a picture of Roach in a hospital bed, said, “After David’s persistent fever and cough led us to the ER, we got results that have completely shattered our world.” We are attempting to work through the feelings and confusion that accompany it, and it is tragic and life-altering.
The message went on to say, “David is displaying such amazing strength and resilience, and even in the midst of this darkness, he’s still managing to keep his sense of humor.” It serves as a reminder of his incredible nature. However, we are aware that the road ahead will be very difficult; David has stated that he is not giving up, and we will require your prayers and love.
We appreciate you being there for us. We are so grateful for your support and thoughtfulness. As we take things one step at a time, kindly remember David. With all of our affection, Jennifer and David.
In addition to being set up well, a GoFundMe has raised almost $34,000 of the $35,000 target. According to the report, Roach was found to have malignant squamous cell carcinoma that affected his throat, neck, and skull.
Founded in 1987, Junkyard is well-known for the hits “Hollywood” and “Simple Man.”
