Pa. Republican House member’s office vandalized with vulgar graffiti

Published On:

Overnight, offensive graffiti defaced the district office of Republican U.S. Representative Mike Kelly of northwest Pennsylvania.

According to images that Kelly’s office uploaded online, vandals used red paint to write GOP = racism, rape, child rape, cover up, and ass kisser liar on the glass front of Kelly’s one-month-old office in Hermitage, Mercer County.

Kelly, a fervent admirer of President Donald Trump, is allegedly listed in the Jeffrey Epstein papers, which Trump now maintains are a fraud concerning sex parties with young women and girls.

Kelly said the U.S. Capitol Police and local police are looking into the incident in a statement posted on Facebook and X/Twitter.

Kelly added, “Our employees are safe and weren’t in the office when the crime was committed.” Let’s be clear: vandalism and political violence are never acceptable.

Butler, Erie, Crawford, Lawrence, and Mercer counties, as well as a portion of Venango County, are included in Kelly’s 16th Congressional District.

Kelly, who was born in Butler County, was with Trump when he was assassinated at fairgrounds outside of Butler in July 2024.

An email from PennLive on Saturday was not immediately answered by a Kelly representative.

Neither Gov. Josh Shapiro nor Republican House members made any public remarks regarding the vandalism that PennLive could find.

The vandalism occurs one day after the bipartisan House Ethics Committee censured Kelly for using confidential information to buy shares in a steel company in Ohio, according to Politico.

Although Kelly’s wife did not cooperate completely with the committee’s probe, the panel could not discover any proof that the legislator purposefully or knowingly led his wife to trade using insider knowledge.

According to Politico, Kelly and his spouse received pressure to sell the family’s shares in the steel producer.
