Rock legend’s daughter battling stage 4 cancer shares heartbreaking prognosis

We know Teddi Mellencamp is as tough as they come because of the way she has talked about her experience with cancer.

Teddi is fighting stage 4 melanoma that has spread to her brain and lungs. She is the daughter of music icon John Mellencamp. An alum of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recently disclosed that she is not feeling well and is stopping immunotherapy treatments that appear to have been reducing the tumors in her brain.

Additionally, the 44-year-old disclosed her prognosis for overcoming the illness in an episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show that aired on July 29.

She answered, “I would say probably 50-50.”

However, when I say this, I genuinely think that I will live, and it will make me feel emotional,” she added. I anticipate some difficult years ahead of me. Since few people know how to communicate with someone who has stage 4 cancer, I honestly believe I will have some lonely years ahead of me.

This follows his recent disclosure regarding treatment pause.

In essence, she stated on the Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, “I haven’t been feeling good for about a month, which was kind of shocking to me, and I think, mentally did a lot to me.”

Mellencamp claimed that she was having trouble speaking clearly and that she was having trouble keeping her eyes open.

That is concerning once more, but the good news is that the immunotherapy appears to have worked so well that doctors are willing to give her some time off.

“To get my body feeling stronger, we’re going to take a little break on the immunotherapy,” she added.

Earlier this year, Mellencamp disclosed her diagnosis.

In 2023, she was initially diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma on her shoulder, which was surgically removed.

Mellencamp has three children: a son, Cruz (10), and two girls, Dove (5) and Slate (12).
