For the first time since their cherished frontman, David Roach, passed away after a fight with cancer, the Junkyard guys took to social media on Tuesday.

And they had a touching message.

A picture of Jimmy James, Patrick Muzingo, Todd Muscat, and Tim Mosher sitting at a table and having some beers read was posted on the band’s Instagram stories, and it showed us all coming together to raise a glass for our departed brother. We outlined some of Beers’ final requests when he passed away.

Keep an eye out.

Roach passed away on August 4. He was fifty-nine.

Two weeks prior to his death, he had tied the knot with Jennifer, his then-fiance, in front of his Junkyard comrades. It also occurs a few weeks after he disclosed that he was battling cancer.

We regret to inform you of David Roach’s demise. Junkyard posted a message on social media.David died quietly last night at home in his wife’s tender arms following a valiant fight with cancer.

According to the statement, he was a talented singer, songwriter, performer, and artist, but most importantly, he was a loving brother, father, and husband. All of the Roach family and those that loved him are in our thoughts.

Two weeks ago, Junkyard’s Instagram posts featured a picture of Roach putting a ring on Jennifer’s finger with the message, “Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Roach.”

Band members were seated alongside Roach, who was in a wheelchair, in a second picture.

The touching moment occurred less than a month after David and Jennifer thanked everyone on the band’s Instagram page for their love and support throughout his battle with cancer.

The tweet, which included a picture of Roach in a hospital bed, said, “After David’s persistent fever and cough led us to the ER, we got results that have completely shattered our world.” We are attempting to work through the feelings and confusion that accompany it, and it is tragic and life-altering.

The message went on to say, “David is displaying such amazing strength and resilience, and even in the midst of this darkness, he’s still managing to keep his sense of humor.” It serves as a reminder of his incredible nature. However, we are aware that the road ahead will be very difficult; David has stated that he is not giving up, and we will require your prayers and love.

We appreciate you being there for us. We are so grateful for your support and thoughtfulness. As we take things one step at a time, kindly remember David. With all of our affection, Jennifer and David.
