We regret to inform you about Larry Gillstrom’s untimely death on Monday, August 4, 2025, as his band, Kick Axe, posted on Instagram.While performing live with Kick Axe in 2024, Larry remained cheerful and optimistic throughout his silent but valiant fight with cancer. In addition to Kick Axe’s appearances in Calgary and Winnipeg, Larry’s last performance took place in his cherished hometown of Regina, where it all started, on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Larry was working with the band on a new album until the last end, according to the band.
According to the statement, Larry was a truly amazing, inspirational guy and musician who will be missed by his friends, family, bandmates, and fans all around the world.
