Country music star admits ‘scary feeling’ after health leads to cancelled shows

Published On:

Ashley McBryde has been quiet lately, per her doctor’s orders.

The 42-year-old singer actually said earlier this week that she would be taking a few weeks off from touring in order to recover her voice cords.

She posted on Instagram on Monday, “As much as it hurts, I won’t be able to play my shows this week because my voice has been struggling over the past few weeks.”My doctors have stated unequivocally that my voice need total rest in order to recover.

She went on to say, “There’s nothing I want more than to be back giving you 100%.” I appreciate your understanding. I’ll see you shortly.

She is sharing the experience with her admirers despite her inability to speak.

She commented, “It’s a scary feeling not being able to use my voice,” and included a video of herself playing with her cat. That’s the unpleasant truth of earning a living off your voice. But as I wait for it to mend, August Moon is keeping me company. I appreciate your understanding and hope that these pipes will soon return to their proper state.

The most crucial thing is to repair the pipes! In response, Kelsey Waldon said. When you get back, everyone will be waiting for you. I’m sending you and your cat my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

McBryde made an effort not to have to take a break from performing. Due to her vocal difficulties, she declared two weeks ago that she would not be interacting with fans at meet & greets.

She said, “Trybe, doctor says I’m working on busted up vocal cords,” and included a video. Cancelling any meet-and-greets or, heaven forbid, shows is the last thing I want to do. So, let’s give it a week.

McBryde demonstrated sign language and handed up notecards with written messages in the video.

Hey Gang! The first card was read. I thus suffered a sore throat.

On the second, she wrote, “NO TALKING if I want to be able to sing to you.”

She then recommended learning sign language and displayed a few phrases, such as “Hello, nice to meet you,” and “Good to see you.”

The fans responded favorably to the somewhat humorous video.

On a different card, she added, “That way, we don’t have to cancel meet and greets.” Together, let’s try.

Jeff Moll replied, “You can write, but you can’t sing.” I anticipate that this disaster will result in a new record. I hope you recover quickly.

Stay well, Written by Lorenda Patterson. Observe your doctor’s advice!

Sadly, it was insufficient to prevent McBryde from missing performances.
