Early on Friday morning, the FBI conducted a raid on John Bolton’s home and workplace in Bethesda, Maryland. After President Trump returned to the White House, agents broke into the home of his former national security adviser, who has subsequently turned against him.
The court-authorized search was conducted as part of a national security probe to find sensitive documents, according to NBC News.
During President Trump’s first term, Bolton, 76, held the position for 17 months. FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X immediately after the raid: NO ONE is above the law @FBI agents on mission. The U.S. Justice Department has not yet released a statement.
Nobody is above the law, according to FBI personnel on duty.
On social media, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi also offered their opinions. “America’s safety is not negotiable,” Bondi wrote. Justice will be sought. Always. Public corruption would not be accepted, Bongino continued.
The safety of America cannot be compromised. Justice will be sought. Always. This link: https://t.co/Feev4Cxqlj
Bolton and Trump and his administration have a lengthy history of disagreements. The White House cautioned him in 2020 to delay the publication of his book due to substantial volumes of classified material in the manuscript, as Breitbart News previously revealed.

Ellen Knight, who was the National Security Council’s Senior Director for Records, Access, and Information Security Management at the time, wrote to Bolton’s legal team on January 23 to let them know that his memoir, The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir, contained classified material that needed to be taken out before it could be published.
