Legendary country music performer Ray Stevens recently gave his fans an update on his recuperation after the early June heart attack.
Doctors categorized it as a minor heart attack, according to a statement he made on Facebook.
According to the statement, Ray had minimally invasive cardiac surgery in a facility in Nashville. To remove more obstructions, surgeons performed a second treatment on him in late July, inserting two stents. After spending a few days in a rehabilitation center in Nashville, he is currently recuperating at home.
Additionally, according to the statement, Stevens intends to sell his CabaRay Showroom in West Nashville, although he still intends to perform live at CabaRay as soon as possible.
According to Stevens, selling CabaRay is the first step toward slowing down at age 86 and in light of recent health issues. However, I still intend to perform when I’m completely well. In addition to occasionally creating music-related films, I will devote all of my work to the recording studio because I still have a lot of things I want to do there.
Stevens loves CabaRay and wishes it can go to someone who can enjoy it as much as I have, according to the statement.
Early in July, Stevens complained of chest trouble and was hospitalized to a Nashville hospital. He experienced a heart attack, according to a heart catheterization.
The 86-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer has not yet returned to the stage after canceling all of his shows until July.
In fact, Stevens declared he would retire after 2024, but that announcement was short-lived as he declared in May that he will resume regular performances at his Nashville CabaRay Showroom. According to Stevens, he then intended to perform hits from his past as well as songs from his most recent album, Say Whut?
According to him, it will be a brand-new show with brand-new music and tales. Don’t worry, though; I will still be bringing along beloved characters like Margaret, Gitarzan, Ethel, and the squirrel.
Since 1957, the humorous singer and songwriter has performed on stage.
In 2019, Stevens received his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In addition, he is a member of the Christian Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
