Aaron Rodgers was offered $13.65 million by the Pittsburgh Steelers, with additional incentives that could have increased the contract’s value to $19.5 million. However, he declined the team’s offer of a lucrative contract.
Bryant McFadden, a former cornerback for the Steelers, claims that Rodgers accepted the initial offer for significantly less because he only wanted to play football and never intended to defraud the team.
Given that they are providing him approximately $13 million or so, it wasn’t about money. According to McFadden, he could have received more, but that’s what he desired. They were prepared to provide more. Aaron said, “No man, this is what I would take, and I just wanna play ball,” even though they were offering to pay him more than he is currently getting.
The offense of the Steelers has trusted Rodgers to guide them to a place they haven’t gone since 2017: a postseason victory.
Two years after suffering an Achilles tear, the former quarterback for the Packers and Jets has stated that he feels far better than he did the previous season.
In 2024, Rodgers had 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Even after they signed Davante Adams, the Jets only went 3-8, and he only started 5-12 games. In addition to having numerous leg problems, Rodgers had a difficult season.
