British authorities have charged the older brother of rock band Oasis founders Liam and Noel Gallagher with rape.
According to Rolling Stone, Paul Gallagher, 59, has also been charged with three counts of sexual assault and other violent offenses, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of threatening to kill, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, and accusations of coercive and controlling behavior.
According to London police, the occurrences happened between 2022 and 2024, and officers with specialized training are helping a woman.
Paul Gallagher co-wrote the 1997 book Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis – The Real Story, despite never having played in his brother’s band.
Oasis is well-known for songs like Champagne and Wonderwall.
