Central Pa. toddler hospitalized after being kicked by cow

An 18-month-old child was transported to the hospital Tuesday after being kicked in the head by a cow in Paradise Township.

Around 5:40 p.m., Lancaster County-Wide Dispatch reported an injured child at a farm in

the 200 block of Esbenshade Road

.

Emergency medical providers on the scene reported that the child had been kicked by a cow and suffered trauma. The child was knocked unconscious by the kick but had regained consciousness by the time first responders arrived.

On Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police confirmed the child was transported to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment but did not provide additional information.
