Commissioners can’t remove central Pa. sheriff despite ‘deplorable’ social media post: solicitor

At their Wednesday morning meeting, a number of community residents told county commissioners that the Adams County sheriff ought to be compelled to retire after sharing a picture on his Facebook page endorsing violence against protesters.

Five Gettysburg-raised women who are currently enrolled in college encouraged the commissioners to utilize their influence to pressure longstanding sheriff James Muller to step down before his retirement at the end of the year.
