Despite being 71 years old, country music legend Ricky Skaggs is not exactly slowing down.
Skaggs is really getting ready to go on tour again, but he recently told his fans that this time around, things won’t be the same for him.
The reason for this is because Skaggs will be touring without a veteran band member.
Next week, the Kentucky Thunder and Ricky Skaggs will travel throughout the Northeast, stopping in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey! He penned it.You may witness new band members in Kentucky Thunder’s lineup, such as Troy Engle, who is currently playing in place of beloved former band member Dennis Paker, and Justus Ross, who is the lead guitarist. We mourn Dennis, but we wish him well as he moves on to other possibilities where he feels guided!
Fans of the iconic singer in Central Pennsylvania will have the opportunity to see him at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster on August 29.
Parker joined the Kentucky Thunder band in 1997, according to Parade. According to the website, Parker offers baritone vocals in addition to playing rhythm guitar, mandolin, and violin.
Skaggs has already received appreciation from Parker.
In 2019, Parker stated that he only gets better. He has matured during the time I have known him. One of those guys with several facets is Ricky. In addition to being an excellent musician, he is also a fantastic band leader and arranger.
He continued, “He has a cool presence because he knows what he likes and what he wants.” He expects it to be there and listens to everything, yet he isn’t kind to you at all. There aren’t many people like him in the world. He’s the whole package.
