Country music star cancels more shows due to illness: ‘I’ve been hoping to rally’

Luke Bryan, a country music artist, has canceled his gigs scheduled for this weekend due to his ongoing sickness.

Bryan posted on his Instagram stories, saying, “I’m really sorry to say I won’t be able to play this weekend’s shows due to continued illness.” Though my voice is still lacking, I’ve been hoping to rally. A big thank you to my friend @ericchurchmusic for filling in at the last minute and, of course, performing like always.

“I can’t wait to be back soon because I’m not good at sitting still,” he continued. Luke, I love you all.

According to Taste of Country, Bryan was scheduled to perform at the June 26, 27, and 28 festival days. According to the website, Church will step in for those shows.

Due to illness, Bryan also had to postpone his performances for the previous weekend.

That followed a concert in Arkansas late last week where he declared in the middle of the show that he was giving all of the fans in attendance a refund.

The singer told the crowd, “This is the strangest thing I’ve ever had to deal with in my life.”For whatever reason, I can’t speak in this place. I have no idea why, but it always happens.

Bryan went on to mention that Luke Combs once gave his fans a refund after a performance in which he was unhappy with his voice.

The singer declared, “I don’t give a damn.” We’re going to continue doing the fucking concert, and I’m going to give everyone their tickets back tonight.

In the video, the 48-year-old’s voice seemed a little strained.

He said, “We’re just going to make this what it is.” Why I’ve had to do this each time is beyond me.
