Eagles’ Landon Dickerson appeared to suffer a leg injury | Who is top candidate to replace him ?

Published On:

Landon Dickerson, a left guard for the Philadelphia Eagles, appeared to sustain a right leg injury during Sunday night’s open practice at Lincoln Financial Field.

Dickerson remained on the floor for some time. He required help to leave the field since he was unable to apply pressure on his leg.

Dickerson gripped his right knee as he was carried to the locker room.

The Eagles’ interior offensive line can become vulnerable if he is sidelined for a long time. Tyler Steen is already causing doubt on the right side.

The leading contender to succeed Dickerson would be Matt Pryor.

Pryor, who ranks as the 31st best guard in the NFL by Pro Football Focus, had the greatest season of his career with the Chicago Bears last season. However, it’s unrealistic to expect him to start as well as he did in past seasons.

After being selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, he spent three seasons with the Eagles until being traded to the Indianapolis Colts in 2021. During his two years there, he started 14 games at guard and tackle. Then, in 2023, he became a backup with the San Francisco 49ers.

Pryor started ten games at left guard during the 2020 season. He also played left tackle with the Colts. The Eagles should be able to transfer him to the opposite side, even though he has played on the right side during camp.

The Eagles have very few options for left guard outside of Pryor.Tothand, BrettThe next greatest choice might be Drew Kendall. It doesn’t seem optimal to move center Cam Jurgens back to guard.

Without Dickerson, Philadelphia’s offensive line might not be the best in the NFL. The three-time Pro Bowl player is among the top guards in the league.

For their Week 1 game against the Cowboys, the Eagles -7 are rated at -110 onBetMGM. Our in-depth reviews of BetMGM Sportsbook walk you through the registration and usage process.
