Fox 10 News in Mobile, Alabama reports that T.J. Yeldon, a former Alabama standout running back who played in the NFL for six seasons, was arrested this past weekend on a number of allegations.
According to Fox 10 News, Yeldon was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree domestic violence, and interfering with a domestic violence call.
According to the report, at around 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, deputies received a call regarding a possible case of domestic violence involving a male and female.
According to deputies, the man refused to open the door and switched out the lights at his house when they got there. The individual opened the door and was taken into custody as deputies attempted to force access.
The male individual, identified as Timothy T.J. Yeldon, was ultimately taken into custody by investigators.
Before Yeldon allegedly began attempting to enter the bedroom, the female subject, who called the police to report the event, locked herself there in an attempt to escape him.
During his three seasons at Alabama, from 2012 to 2014, T.J. Yeldon rushed for over 3,300 yards. During his tenure with the Crimson Tide, he rushed for 37 touchdowns and averaged 5.8 yards per carry.
The Jacksonville Jaguars then selected Yeldon in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Before spending two seasons with the Bills, he played for the Jaguars for four seasons. During his six-year NFL career, he averaged 4.1 yards per carry while rushing for 2,005 yards and six touchdowns.
