Here’s why you should stock up on Forever stamps

Mailing soon? If not, you’ll be paying extra for Forever Stamps in as short as a few weeks, so think about buying stamps soon.

This is because, starting on July 13, the USPS will increase the price of its Forever First-Class stamps and other items.

The pricing adjustments are as follows:

  • Forever stamp, or mailing a 1-ounce letter 73 cents to 78 cents

  • Mailing a metered 1-ounce letter 69 cents to 74 cents

  • Additional ounces for letters 28 cents to 29 cents

  • Postcard 56 cents to 62 cents

  • 1-ounce letter or postcard mailed to another country $1.65 to $1.70

Additionally, the Postal Service is changing the costs of its Special Services items, such as money order fees and Certified Mail.

In addition, postal insurance will be twelve percent less expensive when an item is mailed.

The fact that this is the first price hike since last summer should not be overlooked.

USPS claims that price changes are necessary to achieve the financial stability that the Delivering for America 10-year plan aims to achieve. Additionally, according to the USPS, its rates are some of the lowest in the world.
