Scheffler shot a scorching 7-under 64 on Friday to surge into a one-shot lead at 10-under through 36 holes, but Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick (-9), Brian Harman (-8) and Haotong Li (-8) are all within two shots going into Rounds 3 and 4. Other notable scorers include Rory McIlroy in a tie for 12th place at 3-under, defending champ Xander Schauffele in tie for 17th (-2) and Bryson DeChambeau in a tie for 51st (+1) after shooting the second-best round on Friday (-6) to make up for a dreadful start to his tournament.
