LATROBE, PA. –Roc Taylor is a wide receiver who could be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2025 training camp sleeper.
Taylor, who caught a 50-yard ball up the seam from Will Howard on Thursday, is still a standout player. After that, he made a fantastic toe-tapping back shoulder catch against James Pierre on a ball from Skylar Thompson during the 7-on-7 session.
In the weeks since they first connected, Howard has been impressed by the Memphis product.
Man, he’s an incredible player. He has been performing. “And it seems like good things are happening when the ball goes his way,” Howard remarked.
He arrived strongly on Sunday. Taylor, a highly anticipated undrafted free agent wide receiver from Memphis, took over following Montana Lemonious-Craig’s injury.
During the drill, Taylor made three different catches over the middle of the field on dig routes. On one play, he ducked under traffic and made a fantastic grab on a pass that was sent high and beyond his body.
Taylor is a large wide receiver who seems like the kind of player who, given more chances, might really make an impact.
