A busy week of commitments for Penn State targets
has added another to the list, and this time it’s in the form of an extremely important prospect.
Four-star defensive end Jackson Ford from Malvern Prep has announced he will commit on Friday. He’ll choose from a top four of
Penn State
, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Ford stands 6-4 and 240 pounds, and according to the 247Sports Composite, he’s the Pennsylvania’s No. 8 player and No. 306 nationally.
Grateful for every school that believed in me and took the time to recruit me. After a lot of thought and prayer. I am down to four school and will be committing on Friday (6/27).

While Penn State has done well in the state for the 2026 class with five of the top 10 players committed, there have been some big swings and misses of late. Three of the other five players have committed to Notre Dame and one to Rutgers. Thus, Ford’s commitment could be a massive one.
Penn State also needs to add at defensive end, as the current crop of 20 commits does not feature one at the positon. Four-star Daniel Jennings ranked near the top of the class, but he reclassified to the 2025 cycle. Overall, James Franklin’s group ranks No. 8 nationally.
Ford took the most visits to Penn State of any school, reaching campus five times, including an official visit on June 6.
Friday will be a big day, as elite defensive tackle Damari Simeon is also
scheduled to commit with Penn State among his top schools
.
