Nearly two months after passing away on June 11, rock music icon Brian Wilson was buried on August 6.
Carnie Wilson, his daughter, posted information about his funeral on social media.
We buried my dad today,” she wrote.Seeing that occur was really painful, but it also provided further closure and a sense of peaceful calm. The past eight weeks have been incredibly difficult and unlike anything I’ve ever gone through. I hope he could return since I adore and miss him so much. He offers me a lot of clues every day, and I can tell he’s there since he can see and hear me.
“He makes that clear,” she added. I am really appreciative of this. We had a few monarch butterflies today that simply would not leave the area. It was lovely and reassuring. My emotions are really erratic, and I’m working to manage them. I am aware that he would prefer everyone to be joyful rather than depressed. When I cried, he didn’t like it. My close buddy Gunnar Nelson, who lost his father Ricky Nelson years ago, informed me during our conversation today that the world will always have his songs to sing along to and remember him until the end of time. This is an extremely heavy-duty and unique idea. It’s much larger than I can comprehend.
She expressed her gratitude for the thought.
Therefore, I just wanted to say thank you, Daddy, for your wonderful contribution to people’s happiness and genuine, unadulterated feelings, she continued. We are grateful to all of the lovely, devoted, and encouraging fans who have honored him. Together, we share this. Without him, we wouldn’t know what we would be.
Wilson passed away at the age of 82.
His death was attributed to respiratory arrest, with sepsis and cystitis playing a role. Other contributory factors included chronic respiratory failure, chronic renal illness, sleep apnea, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Wilson, who co-founded the Beach Boys, was a well-liked musician.
