Online plans on display for southern York County bridge replacement project: PennDOT

Published On:

An online plan display for the West Clearview Drive (Route 3006) bridge replacement project is being made available to the public by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). About 0.5 miles southeast of Glen Rock, in Shrewsbury Township, York County, the bridge crosses Trout Run.

According to a news release, the project’s goal is to replace the bridge and ensure that West Clearview Drive (Route 3006) may continue to be crossed over Trout Run safely and effectively.

The project entails installing a precast concrete box culvert in place of the current bridge. The renovations will not alter the bridge’s overall geometry.New pavement, guide rails, and improved signage are examples of minor approach work. Trout Run is not expected to be impacted. The suggested curb-to-curb width of the road will not alter from the current configuration, which features 3-foot shoulders and 11-foot lanes.

The project is presently in the planning stage, and construction is expected to begin in the 2027 building season.

According to the news release, a digital version of the information will be accessible online through August 24.

By going to the PennDOT District 8 website, selecting Projects Near You on the left side of the page, then District 8 Projects, and finally selecting West Clearview Drive Bridge Replacement, you can find information, including bridge drawings and an interactive comment form.

The plans exhibition serves to both introduce the project and solicit feedback from the general public on any queries or issues that may arise. The public has the chance to examine and offer feedback on the project.

If desired, the project documents can be provided in several languages or formats.
