Pa. native, popular comedian chosen to host ESPN’s ESPYS

Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania-based comedian and actor Shane Gillis was named the 2025ESPYS host by ESPN on Tuesday.

The annual awards ceremony recognizes the top sporting accomplishments of the previous year.

On Wednesday, July 16, the ESPYS will take place at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. ABC will broadcast the awards presentation, which will start at 8 p.m.

In a statement, Shane Gillis expressed his excitement about attending the ESPYS this year. This should be enjoyable because I enjoy sports.

Gillis is a stand-up comedian who has made appearances on a number of television programs. He is the Netflix series’ creator and star.Saturday Night Live has been hosted by Tiresand.

The 37-year-old is a sports enthusiast and former collegiate football player.
