WILLIAMSPORT — An unlicensed therapist in Lycoming County has been charged with Medicaid fraud by causing false claims to be submitted under the Medical Assistance Program.
Michael E. Miller, 36, of Williamsport, was accused Tuesday by the state attorney general’s office of engaging in unethical sexual behavior over a seven-month period in what was documented as therapy sessions for which he was paid $30 an hour.
The charges state Lycoming Therapeutic Wraparound Services in Williamsport, his employer at the time, was reimbursed $7,086 for a psychiatric diagnostic clinical evaluation on July 12, 2023, and 58 individual therapy sessions between July 17, 2023, and February 16, 2024.
