Breiden Fehoko, a nose tackle, stated on his X page that he has been re-signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. After sustaining a shoulder injury during training camp, Fehoko rejoined the team halfway through the previous season and was a member of their practice squad.
This offseason, Fehoko shed 37 pounds in an attempt to increase her explosiveness. Training camp will now be the time to display that weight.
Fehoko, 28, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers after going undrafted out of LSU in the 2020 NFL Draft. He remained there from 2020 to 2022, but soon after, they gave him permission to depart, and he joined the Steelers later that summer.
Fehoko was promoted for two games in 2023 even though he did not make the Steelers’ active roster. In the 2024 season, he was not promoted for a game.
Fehoko is a run-plugger in the middle of the defense who has recorded 36 total tackles during his career. Fehoko will play a new part in the Steelers’ plan now that he is smaller.
He joins the team after Jacob Slade, Esezi Otomewo, and Dean Lowry were forced to miss practice due to knee injuries.
