Pittsburgh –On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers received encouraging news about rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, who might only miss one game. Prior to his final play, which was the James Pierre interception, Harmon had an injury.
The previous play is a run play, as the running back and several Steelers defenders roll up on Harmon late in the snap.
Harmon claims that the team has outlined a weekly strategy that may allow him to make a comeback early in the season. Harmon claims that at first, he was in the mindset that his season might be gone and assumed the worst.
“The play before, I was hit on the knee,” Harmon recalled. The following play, I felt it as I played through it. I was in a horrible mood and wanted to have it looked out, although I didn’t know what it was at the moment.

After being inspected by trainers and fitted with a knee brace, Harmon returned to the field. The rookie was calmed down by veterans T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward until he received the news of his diagnosis.
Harmon recalled, “They were telling me not to get ahead of myself and not to think the worst.” They made me feel better. There are injuries in this game.
Even yet, Harmon finds it irritating because he began to improve and get into form. He is taking it week by week until he recovers, and he wants to learn more about the playbook and his duties during his absence.
“It’s annoying,” Harmon remarked. Even though it’s only preseason, I was eager to compete at my best and start the regular season. It’s a part of the game we play, but it’s awful. This rehab must be attacked by me.
Harmon will probably be able to return for the Steelers’ home opener against the Seattle Seahawks following his injured MCL, so it appears the team escaped the worst-case situation.
Now that Harmon is feeling better, the Steelers will begin the rehabilitation process with him and, if at all feasible, aim to return even sooner.
