The company’s most recent list of closures includes a Rite Aid location in Cumberland County.

The chain said in a bankruptcy filing on Friday that it is closing its store located at 320 York Road in South Middleton Township, west of Carlisle. The most recent list includes more than 200 stores.

Rite Aid is navigating its second bankruptcy case, and this latest round of shop closures joins the hundreds of locations that have already been disclosed.

The 207 stores join the 497 that Rite Aid had previously declared it will close.

In order to pursue a strategic and value-maximizing selling process for nearly all of its assets, Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy a second time last month.

More than 1,200 Rite Aid locations are anticipated to disappear.

Rite Aid declared that it has signed contracts with CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, Albertsons, Kroger, and Giant Eagle for its pharmacy assets, which include over 1,000 locations nationwide.

According to CVS Pharmacy, it has reached an agreement to purchase and run 64 Rite Aid pharmacies in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, as well as the prescription records of 625 Rite Aid pharmacies in 15 states that CVS serves.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court authorized those arrangements.

Camp Hill, Carlisle, Silver Spring Township, and Upper Allen Township are among the other Rite Aid facilities in Cumberland County that have closed in recent years.

Before relocating to Philadelphia in 2022, the corporation spent decades situated in Cumberland County.
