‘South Park’ Continues Mockery of President Trump in Upcoming Episode Teaser

After its highly anticipated Season 27 premiere, Comedy Central has released a preview for its next episode, suggesting that the satirical comedy will continue to center on Trump.

The odd point in the 20-second video is when Trump is seated next to Satan at a formal dinner. As a speaker commends the president for his bravery, Trump is seen massaging Satan’s knee beneath the table, which causes Satan to subtly request that he stop.

It’s still unknown if this strange scene was made just for publicity or if it would truly be included in the entire show. Fans are aware that South Park is notorious for creating its episodes only a few days before to their premiere. Indeed, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone acknowledged at a recent Comic-Con panel that they occasionally create scenes specifically for trailers, like they did for Season 27.

In any case, the teaser implies that Trump’s odd bond with Satan might not be a one-time joke but rather a recurrent theme throughout the season.

When Does the New Episode Air?

The next episode of South Park will air on August 6 at 10/9c, according to the official website.

White House Reacts After Trump Depiction in South Park

Trump was shown literally getting into bed with Satan in the Season 27 premiere, which aired on July 23. The spoof was similar to South Park’s notorious 1999 portrayal of Saddam Hussein, using animated bodies with genuine photographs of the president pasted on them.

The segment was not overlooked.White House: Following the Trump parody, South Park hasn’t been relevant for more over 20 years.

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers responded to the show by telling USA TODAY that South Park hasn’t been relevant in over 20 years and is clinging to life with cliched notions in an effort to garner attention.

There was a plotline in the episode called Sermon on the Mount where Trump sues the town of South Park. The town pledges to spread pro-Trump messaging as part of the settlement. A parody PSA with a live-action Trump stripping off and crawling across the desert, complete with the title card stating, PRO-TRUMP PSA 01 OF 50, suggests that there may be more to come.

We re Terribly Sorry : Creators Address Backlash at Comic-Con

Parker and Stone mockingly addressed the topic in their Comic-Con panel. Parker grinned and replied, “We’re terribly sorry,” which caused the audience to laugh.

The two also acknowledged that they were still undecided on the topic of the upcoming episode. Parker said, “I’m not sure what the episode is next week.” It is quite stressful.
