Love came first, followed by marriage, and now a baby carriage?
In a flash, Millie Bobby Brown has become a mother.
The 21-year-old Stranger Things actress and her 23-year-old husband, Jake Bongiovi, announced their adoption of a daughter on social media.
Through adoption, we welcomed our adorable baby girl this summer. In an Instagram post, Brown stated, “We are incredibly thrilled to start this lovely next chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy.” She came to the conclusion that there were three.
In May 2024, Brown—who will play the lead in Stranger Things’ final season when it debuts on Netflix on November 26—married musician Jon Bon Jovi’s son in a small ceremony before hosting a much bigger reception in Italy a few months later.
In a March SmartLess podcast featuring Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, Brown discussed his lifelong desire to have children.
“I’m still very young, but my dad was 19 and my mom was 21 when she had her first child, and you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” she said.
My grandmother played a significant role in my life, she said, and I wanted to be a mother in the same way that my mother was to me.
On the podcast, the actress also discussed the idea of adopting a kid.
She explained at the time, “I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.” For me, the atmosphere in my home is one of love for everyone and everything, so that’s what Jake and I stand for. Our energy is like, “The door is always open.”
Brown has other Netflix movies besides Stranger Things. Brown talked about how much she values family during the Netflix movie Damsel’s premiere last year, where she was joined by her husband Bongiovi and his family.
At the time, Brown told the Associated Press, “I’m just so lucky that they’re here tonight and it just means so much to me.” Having my second family here means the world to me because family is everything.
