After Michael Whatley decided to run for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, President Donald Trump on Friday endorsed Republican National Committee (RNC) Treasurer Joe Gruters to be the next RNC Chairman.

MAGA Trump declared on Truth Social that warrior Joe Gruters, who has been with us from the start, is vying to succeed the great Michael Whatley as the future chairman of the Republican National Committee. Recently, Michael began running for the U.S. Senate from North Carolina.

As a state senator and former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, Gruters helped bring about historic and significant victories, including Trump’s victories in Florida in the 2016 presidential election, 2020, and 2024. Trump commended Gruters’ longstanding loyalty and leadership within the party.

“Joe has been an ardent supporter of our movement as RNC Treasurer,” Trump added. He has put in countless hours to make sure the RNC is well-run, financially prudent, and prosperous. He’ll make a fantastic chairman!

Additionally, Trump supported Jennifer Saul-Rich, a New York RNC member, to serve as treasurer in the event that Gruters is elected chair.

Whatley, a staunch Trump loyalist, was the GOP chairman of North Carolina and the RNC chair before launching his Senate campaign earlier this week.
