Trump hails ‘one of the most consequential periods of any President’

President Donald Trump

celebrated

the six-month mark of his second term on Sunday, touting a flurry of foreign policy and legislative accomplishments while declaring that the United States has been “totally revived” after what he described as a period of decline under President Joe Biden.

“Wow, time flies! Today is the Sixth Month Anniversary of my Second Term,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Importantly, it’s being hailed as one of the most consequential periods of any President.”

He added, “Six months is not a long time to have totally revived a major Country. One year ago our Country was DEAD, with almost no hope of revival. Today, the USA is the ‘hottest’ and most respected Country anywhere in the World. Happy Anniversary!!!”

Foreign Policy Headlines

Trump highlighted several

international

developments to underscore what he calls a “revival” of American power. Among them:

  • The redesignation of the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen as a foreign terrorist organization, followed by joint U.S.-U.K. military strikes and a May ceasefire.
  • A June military offensive against Iranian nuclear facilities in response to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
  • A July ultimatum to Russia: agree to a Ukraine ceasefire within 50 days or face “maximum tariffs.” Trump also approved additional U.S. Patriot missile sales to Kyiv.
  • A brokered ceasefire between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Despite earlier promises to end the

Ukraine-Russia

war within 24 hours of taking office, a formal peace deal remains elusive. Trump has recently shifted his tone, sharply criticizing both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin over the prolonged conflict and loss of life.

Domestic Wins and Crypto Push

Trump also touted major domestic

legislation

, including the passage of what he calls his “big, beautiful bill,” which locks in his 2017 tax cuts permanently. The package also provides funding for his immigration agenda, including mass deportations and expanded border security.

On Friday, Trump signed the GENIUS Act, establishing the first federal regulatory framework for stablecoins, a form of cryptocurrency pegged to the U.S. dollar — a move he says fulfills his campaign promise to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet.”

Trump Brushes Off Epstein Fallout

Amid renewed scrutiny over his

administration’s

handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump dismissed concerns that the issue could impact Republican chances in the 2026 midterms.

“My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly,” he wrote. “They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records… People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!”

Looking Ahead

Trump’s supporters see the first six months of his second term as a whirlwind of action that restores U.S. dominance on the world stage. But with ongoing wars, looming midterms, and intensifying legal battles, the months ahead may test whether his momentum can last.
