Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has frequently been the victim of Donald Trump’s attacks.
Just this week, Trump attacked her on social media and urged Democrats to nominate her for president in 2028.
He posted on Truth Social, “I have a suggestion for the Democrats to get them back into the game.” After being ignored for years, including losing one of the biggest presidential elections in history in 2024, the Democrats should nominate low-IQ candidate Jasmine Crockett for president, AOC+3 for vice president, three high-level cabinet members, and our future Communist mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, to make our nation truly SCREWED!
Crockett hasn’t been afraid to take jabs at Trump, but doing so has frequently led to her getting some negative social media traffic. And to put it politely, some of that traffic is, well, unpleasant. She disclosed in May that she had received death threats, and some of it obviously goes too far.
Crockett mentioned that when discussing her potential role as head of the House Oversight Committee.
In an appearance with MSNBC, Crockett stated, “Unfortunately, we are going to lay our dear colleague Gerry Connolly to rest here on Tuesday and there will have to be an election to determine who will be leading the Oversight Committee.” In the end, I hope and pray that my coworkers will see that I can give us what we need as a team so that we can move forward and give the American people some peace of mind that they have a real fighter who will not give up despite all the threats I will have made against me—for heaven’s sake, I receive death threats every single day.
However, she added, “I genuinely think that God will always be by my side.” Therefore, I will fiercely and fearlessly defend the American people.
The threats remain even though Crockett has now withdrawn from the contest to be the leading Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. In a recent interview with The Grio, she talked candidly about it, telling the publication that she is on a high alert list since Trump is always keeping an eye on her.
“We saw on January 6 that his loyalists are willing to do harmful things,” she remarked.
Crockett informed the website that she must plan her own protection measures in secret. She added that she thinks people are looking out for her.
“They have my back, and I have theirs,” she said. Since Congress does not take the necessary steps to protect elected members of the House and Senate, they are the only ones currently offering me any meaningful level of safety.
