‘We’ll wipe it out faster…’; Trump again threatens ‘very nasty’ and ‘stupid’ Iran over nuclear enrichment

Just weeks after U.S. forces attacked three of Iran’s most important nuclear sites, President Donald Trump stepped up his warnings against Iran on Monday, promising to stop any further nuclear enrichment activities.

Trump criticized Tehran’s commitment to continue enriching uranium for what it says are civilian uses during a joint news conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Trump Turnberry golf course in Scotland.

Trump claimed that Iran was sending “very bad, very nasty signals.” Their dedication to nuclear enrichment is not only foolish, but also deadly. If they attempt to use nuclear weapons again, we will destroy them faster than you can wave your finger.

Trump stated unequivocally that he would use immediate force to stop Iran from restarting its nuclear program.

“We’ll gladly, openly, and completely do it again,” he stated. I doubt they even comprehend how badly they were beaten.

Iran Reaffirms Right to Enrichment

The president’s comments coincide with Iran getting ready for negotiations later this week with the UK, France, and Germany. Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian foreign minister, recently reaffirmed Iran’s right to pursue uranium enrichment.

Araghchi framed our enrichment as a national accomplishment attained through years of scientific endeavor, saying, “We cherish it greatly.” The forthcoming negotiations were characterized by Iranian authorities as serious, candid, and comprehensive.

Background: U.S.-Iran Military Escalation

After a 12-day Israeli military assault against targets connected to Iran, U.S. forces began coordinated strikes on Iran’s nuclear complexes in Fordow, Esfahan, and Natanz on June 22. Tehran responded by firing missiles against the biggest American military facility in the area, the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

U.S. and Qatari officials verified that all incoming missiles were intercepted, with no significant damage or casualties reported, despite Iran’s claims of victory.

Trump stated on Monday that if Iran restarts its nuclear aspirations, his government would not think twice about taking more action, as tensions in the area are still high.

Trump claimed, “They know we’re watching, and we know what they’re doing.” They ought to carefully consider their options before repeating the same error twice.
